About Dakinii Artwear

The
Roots

Nepal and India are home — places full of culture, spirituality, symbolism and stories. I've been an artist forever, but Goa changed something. The people, the energy, the colours and the freedom pulled me beyond the canvas and reminded me of an old dream: to build something of my own.

So I stopped waiting and started building. This is Dakinii.

The Artist

Before Dakinii, I was a freelance artist for hire, making work for other brands and other visions. At the same time I was everywhere: murals, paintings, apparel, leather, jewellery, festival stalls — whatever I could get my hands on. Not to settle on one medium, but to see how far an idea could go.

The Craft

It's still just me. Sketches at 3 AM, too many ideas, fabric touched until it feels right, drawings turning into prints, hours spent on the smallest details because they matter — even if no one notices.

Drawn by hand, printed on cloth, cut and stitched in leather. Unapologetic. Borderline obsessive. Made in our room at 3 AM.

The Name

While looking into Buddhist art, I found the Dakinii. The sky-goer, the sky-dancer — a fierce, active, transformative energy. Hindu and Buddhist imagery and Thangka art run through everything here: not copied, but learned from, seen my way and made part of my own language.

The World

This isn't just a clothing brand. I've always worked with leather, so there's artwear, leather pieces and other objects too — all of it art looking for somewhere to exist. Every piece is a way into the same world.

Beyond
the Canvas

Clothing is just one form. Murals, festival stages on the beaches of Goa, paintings, leather — the same language, a different scale. At the core, I'm an artist who makes things.

And if something I make ends up in your world too? That's fucking cool.

Welcome to Dakinii.
